As a first time mum, the baby product market was a minefield of choices. Having 'done my research' I carefully picked and purchased all the items my newborn baby would need (bottles, dummies, wipes, nappies etc). Little did I know that when he was born, he would have different ideas!

My baby did not take to the breast or bottle well, this caused me much distress. Initial latching problems (caused by a then undiagnosed tongue tie) soon moved onto wind and colic issues! ​I then purchased 3 other brands of bottle (each on a pack of 2/3 or 4) until I found 'the one'.

Not only a costly exercise, I also found the whole process very stressful and exhausting. It was in the middle of the night when I had the thought, why don’t they offer a trial pack of bottles? No more rushing out to the supermarket to spend £15-£20 on the next brand, I would have had them all to hand (and probably saved a fortune!). The idea for babys choice was born.
